Glass Overhead Garage Door in Al Amerat
A wide black glass overhead garage door installed for a modern property in Al Amerat.

PROJECT DETAILS
Made-to-measure work in Al Amerat
The wide opening called for an overhead system that moves vertically and keeps the area in front of the garage clear.
Dark glazed panels and a black frame give the façade a contemporary appearance while allowing the door to follow the ceiling when opened.
The broad glazed surface is divided into a regular grid of framed sections. This controls the scale of the door visually and complements the clean geometry of the surrounding modern building rather than appearing as one uninterrupted dark panel.
An overhead configuration is particularly useful where vehicles need to approach close to the opening. Since the door moves upward instead of swinging across the forecourt, the paved area in front remains available during operation.

What is checked for a glass overhead door
An overhead door requires a survey of the clear opening, headroom, ceiling route, side room and fixing surfaces. The panel layout, tracks, operating equipment and controls are then planned around the available structure and the expected use of the garage.
During installation, the tracks and moving sections are aligned so the door can rise vertically and follow its overhead path. The team checks balance, clearances, opening and closing limits and control response before the completed system is handed over for use.
- Headroom and ceiling path surveyed
- Tracks and panels planned as one system
- Balance, limits and controls tested
